Porqué amo Forever21 / Why I love Forever21

Por si no lo he mencionado anteriormente, amo ir a comprar a Forever 21. Amo la variedad, los precios y en general, su marca.

Estoy al tanto también de que, por sus bajos precios, la calidad de la ropa no es tan buena. Sí, el polo es lindo y barato, pero no me va a durar mucho. Lo sé. Y más allá de que así funcione su estrategia de venta, pienso que es un aspecto muy bueno y oportuno, especialmente para personas como yo.

Es algo así:

Aún estoy en proceso de desarrollar mi estilo propio. Estoy descubriendo qué me gusta, qué no.

Y en ese camino de autodescubrimiento, prefiero gastar treinta soles en una casaca con un estilo que me gusta, y que al cabo de un año ya no sea usable (el cierre se malogró, la tela se arrugó o algo así), y luego estar segurísima en invertir más dinero en una casaca parecida de mejor calidad, que ya me dure de por vida. Porque me ha pasado que compro algo medio caro, y luego de unos días me doy cuenta de que realmente no me gusta. Y es el peor sentimiento de la vida.

Por eso, mi nueva y única regla de comprar ropa ahora es comprar solo aquello que amo, que realmente amo. Aquellas prendas con las que no puedo salir de la tienda sin tenerlas. Y me encanta el sentido de modernidad que ofrece Forever 21, que me permite probar un poco del mundo, de los estilos y de las tendencias. Ser cosmopolita, aún siendo fiel a mi misma.

A lo que me atrae y me mueve desde dentro.

In case I haven't mentioned it before, I love shopping at Forever 21. I love the variety, the prices, and in general, the brand. I am aware of the fact that because of it's low prices, the quality of the clothes is not good at all. Yes, that shirt is very cute and cheap, and it's not gonna last me for more than one year. I know that, thanks. And beyond the fact that that is how their sales strategy works, I think of it as a very good and crucial thing, specially for people like me.

It's something like this:

I'm still on my way on developing my own sense of personal style. I am figuring out what I like, and what I don´t.

And in that path of self-discovery, I prefer to spend $10 in a jacket with a style that I momentarily like, and that within a year it will be worn out, and then be certain that I loved that particular style. Then, I'll go and spend a lot more money in a better quality jacket with that style, that I know I'm gonna love and treasure forever. Because I have been in the situation where I spend a lot in something, and then I realize I don't actually like it that much. And it is the worst feeling ever.

So, my new and only rule is to only buy things I love, really love. Those pieces I simply can't live without. And I love the sense of modernity Forever21 offers, that allows me to try a little bit of the world, the styles and trends. To be cosmopolite, still being faithful to myself.
